One week after Eva's attack, Central City begins to rebuild as Iris and Allegra work to cover the Mirrorverse incident. The former struggles to face the trauma from her ordeal in the Mirrorverse while Barry grapples with his guilt over not deducing Mirror-Iris was an impostor. Meanwhile, Abra Kadabra returns and lets himself be arrested by A.R.G.U.S. so he can complete an anti-matter bomb that he intends to use on Central City in retaliation for his family being erased from existence following the Crisis and to make Barry suffer. Barry successfully talks Kadabra into disabling the bomb, but they are suddenly attacked by a monster, which absorbs the bomb. Kadabra attempts to save Barry, but is killed by the monster. It nearly kills Barry as well, but it winces in pain and runs off. Allegra is promoted to staff writer and Iris joins a Mirrorverse support group. Elsewhere, after both suffering from headaches, Frost and Caitlin Snow reveal to Cisco that they have separated from each other.

Eva begins replacing people with mirror duplicates. Sue Dearbon and Ralph Dibny return with evidence to exonerate the former of Eva's crimes, but the latter became a blob after McCulloch Technologies was destroyed. Though Eva convinces Barry he cannot win, Harrison comes to S.T.A.R. Labs and reminds him that he is the Paragon of Love. As Barry checks on Iris, he revives her. Barry and his team re-activate the ASF and fight the duplicates while Barry revives the original Speed Force before he and Iris convince Eva to stand down. Showing remorse, Eva tries to stop her duplicates, but they become too powerful, so she joins forces with Barry and Iris to destroy them. After freeing her prisoners, Eva leaves for the Mirrorverse to start anew. Claiming that he can now perceive all of his life at once and travel freely through time and space, Harrison decides to put himself in a time loop so he can live peacefully with his wife, Tess Morgan, while an exonerated Sue and a recuperating Ralph travel the world to stop other Black Hole-esque organizations. 18 hours earlier, when Barry and Iris revived the Speed Force, they unknowingly released four differently colored lightning bolts.

Lena creates a weapon that can be used against the Phantoms and a device that can track Kara in the Phantom Zone using her DNA from a stone that Alex gave her. However, Alex later forces her to re-calibrate the device to find the Phantoms' lair as it's their only opportunity to rescue the stolen souls and Kara wouldn't want them to choose her life over the lives of countless others. Nia has visions of Midvale High where Kara and Alex went to high school and helps Brainy process his emotions. In the Phantom Zone, Kara, Nyxly, and Zor-El search for a mirror that can transport them home, but Zor-El is attacked. Nyxly attempts to convince Kara to leave Zor-El behind, claiming that he has been hindering her progress like her own father. Kara refuses and Nyxly reveals that she posed as Scar to hurt Zor-El and intends to get revenge on her own father. Sentinel, Brainy, Dreamer, and J'onn release the collected souls, turning Silas and the transformed Phantoms back into their original selves. Kara accidentally initiates a self-destruct sequence during the fight and smashes the mirror to block Nyxly's escape, witnessing the destruction. In order to get more of Kara's DNA, the team must go back in time to when Kara was in high school.

A Phantom escapee attacks Silas and attempts to overtake him, and M'gann is injured while fighting it. In the Phantom Zone, Zor-El is kidnapped by some Kryptonian criminals led by Scar and is sent to be sacrificed to the Phantoms. Kara is injured, though she is rescued by a depowered fifth-dimensional being named Nyxlygsptlnz, a princess who knows Mxyzptlk, was sent to the Zone by her father. Brainy explains that Phantoms were once known as the Zulian Maletarians. Meanwhile, Lena locks Lex out of LutherCorp's systems and donates all of his funds to a children's hospital. In retaliation, Lex has Otis destroy it and puts the blame on a project that Lena oversaw. Kelly helps Alex cope with her sister's disappearance, and Lena talks Brainy down from a plan to murder Lex as Lena later tells Lex that she is leaving LuthorCorp. Kara learns that what wounds don't heal normally in the Phantom Zone, but Nyxly heals her when Kara helps her regain her magic at the cost of her sphere. They rescue Zor-El and the three focus on making an escape plan using Nyxly's magic, using their advantage that Alura built the Phantom Zone.

After mourning Nash and the Wellses, Barry and Cisco Ramon work towards saving Iris, Kamilla Hwang, and CCPD Captain Singh by opening a portal to the Mirrorverse. Barry discovers the ASF granted him speed-thinking, allowing him to predict outcomes while causing him to become impersonal. Using his new abilities, he exposes Eva as an imposter on live television, forcing her to flee. A choice emerges: save Iris or save Kamilla and Singh. When Barry priorities saving Iris exclusively, Cisco, Frost, and Allegra Garcia join forces to stop him, but fail. Meanwhile, Iris plans a rendezvous with Kamilla and Singh, but they experience seizures. When Barry opens the portal, he forces Iris to come through alone, but she also experiences seizures. This shocks Barry into realizing what he has done and disabling the ASF. Elsewhere, a maddened Eva schemes to take over the world by replacing everyone with mirror duplicates while a confused Earth-1 Harrison Wells materializes where his corpse was 20 years after his death.

Having cryogenically frozen himself to preserve his 1% Speed Force energy, Barry Allen awakens when Eva McCulloch is spotted destroying Black Hole's remnants. He tries to convince her to stop and release his wife, Iris West-Allen, but to no avail as she ends her latest attack by destroying Sam Scudder, her first duplicate, in front of Rosalind Dillon. Cecile Horton interrogates Dillon, learning that she was formerly an empath and that she is working with Eva. Using her own empath abilities against Dillon, Cecile gets her to reveal that Eva plans to use a bomb to destroy a Black Hole plane over Central City. Meanwhile, Nash Wells and the Wellses occupying his mind realize they can activate Barry's Artificial Speed Force (ASF) generator, but it would result in Nash's death. He attempts to explore other methods, but with time running out, Nash sacrifices himself and the other Wellses to restore Barry's speed. Barry saves Central City and intends to inform his allies about Wells. Elsewhere, Iris attempts to escape from the Mirrorverse while Eva discovers she is also a duplicate and that the real Eva is dead after reviewing footage from the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion.

Due to the Crisis, the Zone has fractured in the style of an archipelago and they cannot locate Supergirl and several Phantom Zone Phantoms escape from the Zone. Lex's trial ends in an acquittal after he discredits Eve and Lena as witnesses. Silas later contacts J'onn stating that one of the Phantoms evaded capture.

As Lillian is visiting Lex at the National City Prison, Lena shows up and uses Myriad to wipe their memory of Supergirl's identity. As J'onn mentions that Malefic has no knowledge on where Supergirl is in the Phantom Zone as he only knows Midnight's location, M'gann is looking for someone who can help them.
