In this Netflix documentary, I was quite intrigued by the storytelling of Pelé's epic journey, from shining shoes, to playing club football with Santos, to becoming three-time world champion - as seen through his own eyes, the eyes of his fellow teammates, his countrymen and indeed the whole world at the time.

To me, the greatest athletes of all time achieve feats which remain historically (and socially) transcendent. In that sense, Leo Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Neymar and others will always only be mere pretenders to the likes of true greats such as Pelé - and this documentary will show you why.
