The Abbott family – wife Evelyn, husband Lee, deaf teen-aged daughter Regan, and younger sons Marcus and Beau – silently scavenge for supplies in a deserted town. Going barefoot while outdoors, the family communicates in American Sign Language. Inside a store, four-year-old Beau is drawn to a battery-powered space shuttle toy, but Lee takes it away due to the noise it would make. Regan returns the toy to Beau, who also takes the batteries that his father removed from it. Beau activates the toy when the family is crossing a bridge, alerting a nearby creature that kills him.
Over a year later, Regan struggles with guilt over her brother's death, Evelyn enters the final stages of pregnancy, and Lee fruitlessly tries to make radio contact with the outside world. Lee attempts to upgrade Regan's cochlear implant with scavenged miniature amplifiers to restore her hearing, but the devices are ineffective. Later, Lee takes Marcus to a nearby river with a large waterfall to teach him to fish, while Regan sneaks off to visit Beau's memorial. Lee tells Marcus it is safe to talk when there are louder background sounds that mask their voices from the creatures. Marcus says that Regan blames herself for Beau's death and needs her father to tell her he still loves her.
Alone at the house, Evelyn goes into labor. While making her way to their basement, she accidentally steps on an exposed nail with her bare foot and drops a glass picture frame, alerting a nearby creature. Evelyn flips a switch that changes the exterior house lights to red as a signal to the others and struggles to remain silent during her contractions. Arriving at the farm and seeing the lights, Lee instructs Marcus to set off fireworks as a diversion. Lee finds Evelyn hiding in the bathroom with their newborn son. They make their way to the improvised soundproofed basement. Lee leaves to find the other children. Evelyn falls asleep but awakens to discover the basement is flooded from a broken water pipe and that a creature is inside with her.
Regan and Marcus take refuge atop a grain silo and light a fire to signal their father. However, they run out of lighter fluid and the fire dies before attracting Lee's attention. A hatch door suddenly gives way, and Marcus falls into the silo. The falling door distracts the creature that was stalking Evelyn and it instead targets Marcus and Regan. Regan, who jumped in after Marcus, sinks into the corn and nearly suffocates, but Marcus saves her. Regan's cochlear implant reacts to the proximity of the creature by emitting a high-frequency sound that repels it. The children escape the silo and find their father.
The creature returns, attacking and wounding Lee, while Marcus and Regan hide in a pickup truck. Marcus shouts, attracting the creature away from his father to the truck. Lee signs to Regan that he loves her and always has, before yelling to draw the creature to him; the creature attacks and kills Lee. Regan and Marcus roll the truck down a hill to escape and reunite with Evelyn and the baby at the farmhouse. The four retreat to the basement. When the creature returns, Regan, who realizes that the sound made by the implant distresses the creature, switches the device back on and places it on a nearby microphone, amplifying the feedback. Painfully disoriented, the creature exposes the flesh beneath its armored head, allowing Evelyn to fatally shoot it with a shotgun. The family views a CCTV monitor, showing two creatures attracted by the noise of the shotgun blast approaching the house. With their newly acquired knowledge of the creatures' weakness, the members of the family arm themselves and prepare to fight back.

affects his work and also his relations with Radha. Fed up with his behaviour, Radha breaks up with him. Amreek is devastated. This is when his father, Gurkeerat aka Gurki calls him from his home in Amritsar, Punjab. He tells Amreek that he should return immediately as his grandmother, Sardar Kaur, is sick. Sardar, aged 90, has a tumour. The doctors advise Gurki that they should take her home as operating her at this age can prove fatal. Gurki realizes Sardar doesn’t have much time but he hides this fact from Sardar. Sardar, meanwhile, has a wish. She wants to go to Lahore, Pakistan and visit the house that she built with her husband, late Gursher Singh in 1946. A year later, during Partition, Gursher dies while fighting the rioters. Sardar however escapes and reaches India. Since then, she has been missing Gursher and the house. Hence, it’s her desire to visit Pakistan so that she could see her ancestral house. Sardar tells Amreek about it. Gurki advises Sardar that she can’t travel in this condition. But Amreek realizes how much this means to her. He promises her that he’ll help fulfil her wish. He tries to get her visa. However, her application is rejected as she’s blacklisted from visiting Pakistan. This is because a few years ago, she had attacked a Pakistani official, Saqlain Niazi when she had gone to watch an India vs Pakistan cricket match. This is when Amreek learns that Radha has transplanted a nearly hundred-year-old tree in the USA. Amreek thus begins to learn about structural relocation and realizes that a lot of people have successfully lifted a house and transplanted it to a different location. Amreek requests help from both the government of India and Pakistan for his mission. Both decide to help him, in principle. Amreek then decides to visit Lahore. However, he hides about his plan from Sardar. He fears that if he fails in his endeavour, she’ll be heartbroken. Hence, Amreek pretends to go back to Los Angeles in front of Sardar. Amreek reaches Lahore and successfully is able to find Sardar’s house. But when he reaches there, he sees that the local authorities are about to demolish the structure. But he stops it and manages to convince the mayor ( who is actually the official whom his grandmother had hit in the match ) he brings back the house

After some hilarious scenes, Abhi and Chintakayyi befriends Thuppaki, one of Gani's henchmen. Later the duo learns that the Thuppaki is helping Prabhakar, one of Gani's rivals to kill Gani for the position of Gani. However, Gani acknowledges this, plans and kill Thuppaki. Gani also kidnaps Abhi and his friend. Abhi says the truth and Gani feels happy that they were taking the biopic of him and he narrates the whole story including his criminal activities.
From childhood, Gani starts beating people for money. Later he does settlements for M.L.A. Gani, also a fan of Sridevi. Later Gani falls for Sridevi aka Devi (Pooja Hegde), an computer student but she doesn't accepts him because of his aimless behaviour. Later she also reciprocates his feelings after he rescues her from ragging. But Devi's father refuses to accept their relationship due to the caste system. Devi and Gani decided to elope from Gaddalakonda and Gani refuses to kill someone for the M.L.A because he wants to leave behind his rowdyism. The M.L.A informs police about Gani's whereabouts. The police come to the railway station and beat up Gani while Devi's father threatens Devi to marry the bridegroom whom he chose, otherwise he will order police to kill Gani. Devi reluctantly marries to police officer who belongs to her caste. Another M.L.A, with the lawyer comes to the police station and says that Gani's M.L.A informs police of Gani's whereabouts. He then goes to his M.L.A and slits his throat in front of his mother (Supriya Pathak). Then Gani's mother complains against him. But Gani claims in court that his mother was mute. From that day onwards she refuses to speak with Gani.
Now, Bujjama learns about Abhi and confronts the latter. In the party for Abhi returning to Hyderabad, Bujjama expected Gani to act as a protagonist in his biopic. Gani agrees against to Abhi's wishes. However Abhi changes his mind by listening the theatre operator's (Tanikella Bharani) words and his passion about directing a movie, but he can't do it due to his bad adaptation. Then Abhi appoints the acting coach Muni Manikyam (Brahmaji) for Gani and his gang. Later the acting coach praises Gani for his acting skill due to his ruthless behaviour and also the acting coach humiliated Gani and his gang while they were training.
The shooting begins. The title of the film is Settimaar. By understanding the difficulties in directing the movie, Bujjama reconciles with Abhi. But things take a turn when Gani also changes his mind and falls for Bujjama. In the audio launch, Gani announced that he gifted a villa to Abhi and wants to marry Bujjama.
The movie is released and opens with a tremendous response. At the same time, Abhi elopes with Bujjama. Gani comes to know about this and decides to kill Abhi. But meanwhile, Gani's craze increases due to his acting skills. The people who fear Gani are now asking for selfies with him and his autograph. The little daughter of Thuppaki, who also fears when Gani comes to fondle her, gives a kiss and praises his acting skills. Gani's mother who refused to talk to him in the past speaks to him. By seeing all these, Gani spares Abhi and Bujjama and gives up his rowdy carrier. Prabhakar's henchman (Subbaraju) asks him to include him in Gani's next movie which is being directed by Sukumar. Abhi's paternal uncle (Devi Prasad) takes Gani's criminal evidence (tape recorder and files) and hands it over to the D.C.P, who turns out to be Devi's husband. Devi takes the evidence (tape recorder) and grinds it in a blender. When the D.C.P asks Devi why she had ground the evidence, She replies that it's because the D.C.P couldn't keep his promise to not incriminate Gani for which in return Devi wouldn't think about Gani. This indicates that Devi still loves Gani. Later Devi also praises him. Abhi uses Gani's gang for threatening stars like Nithin to act in his film. Abhi marries Bujjama and Gani remains single.

Gagan, Chakravarthy, and Pruthvi are best friends and liquor buddies and only have each other, since Gagan's and Pruthvi's mother died (Chakravarthy's wife). They do everything from drinking alcohol to eating roadside foods and beating up wrongdoers in society. Sweety starts getting attracted to Gagan, and they start to hang out, and she gets to know about his family. She comes to Gagan's house and makes a change in their lifestyle for their own sake, for which Chakravarthy happily agrees for. In the meantime, Sweety, learns about Pruthvi's love failure and ends up reconciling with the would-be bride's parents, and the marriage is conducted in a grand manner. Chakravarthy, upon seeing the happiness and joy in the atmosphere at the wedding, realizes that Sweety is the reason behind everything and asks Gagan to always be by her side, and if he is not by her side one day, then Chakravarthy and his family as good as dead.
In a parallel track, the CM attends the engagement of the daughter of a very rich, righteous, ruthless yet prestige-driven businessman, Aswith Narayana Varma. The would-be groom, however, finds a video of Narayana's daughter romancing and kissing another guy that she liked before the engagement. The groom shows Narayana and tells him about this. The next morning, in breaking news on TV, it is revealed that Narayana has intentionally killed the groom in fear of his pride/prestige being destroyed. Narayana says that the thing that he cares about the most in the world is his pride/prestige, and he will go to any extent to preserve it. He leaves a gun on the table, and forces his daughter picks it up and shoots herself. He kills her ex boyfriend too.
Narayana and his company plan to build a highway that will make his company the most successful company in all of Asia, but his son Veerendra reveals that the project has competition in the form of the biggest liquor don in North India, Arjun Pawar. Arjun is supported by his two brothers and has bought off all of Narayana's close associates and subordinates except for his lawyer JP. Arjun threatens JP, stating that if he does not agree to his terms, that his daughter should marry his youngest brother; otherwise, he will kill her. JP agrees out of fear. Narayana, however, retaliates and sends Veerendra to disable Arjun's brother and breaks up the back and puts him in a critical condition forever. Now, Arjun then decides to hit back.
Sweety realizes that she is truly in love with Gagan and expresses her feelings towards him. Gagan is delighted, and Sweety takes him to her house to her father JP, where he insults him after realizing his lifestyle and the reputation that Chakravarthy has in society, then proceeds to insult Sweety. Enraged, Gagan gives JP a warning, but Sweety, who cares for her father's life more than anything, sends Gagan away and tells him to never come back.
Heartbroken, Gagan drives and tries to forget Sweety but is unable to and gets into a car accident. Fearing for his life, Chakravarthy and his uncle send him away with known relatives in Vizag. Faluguni arrives at the airport and picks Gagan up, and Gagan realizes that her lifestyle is young, wild, and free. Falguni, however, has no interest in Gagan romantically. While driving back after a party on the beach. Gagan witnesses a family being attacked. He decides to save them, and they turn out to be Narayana's family, and Arjun's brother has been sent to finish them off. Narayana's family pleads Gagan to save them and their daughter-in-law. Gagan fights off some of Pawar's men and saves the daughter-in-law, who happens to be Sweety. Shocked, Gagan is then shot four times and is left for dead. The doctors end up saving him on the orders of Aswith Narayana Varma and then the flashback is revealed by Narayana's wife.
After breaking Arjun's brother's back, Narayana then met JP, and they decide to get Veerendra married with Sweety. At the wedding, as Veerendra is about to tie the knot, he is shot and killed, and Arjun's men come and kidnap everyone to kill them. Since Veerendra died at the hands of Arjun, JP has no choice but to let her daughter away from the Narayana family. However, Narayana's sister phones her brother and tells him that they need Sweety, since she is almost married to Veerendra, and decided to adopt Sweety as their daughter-in-law. Since her would-be husband is dead, Sweety becomes a poor widow with no family emotions. Gagan then vows to protect Sweety until he dies and will solve all her problems. Narayana's sister comes and says that the family must perform a pooja at the Hamsala Deevi river area. She sees Gagan, who says that he cannot come along. Narayana's sister, in reality, has cut a deal with Arjun to get Sweety and leave her family alone, and Arjun agrees. As Narayana and the rest of his family perform the pooja, they attacked by Arjun's men. As they are about to attack Sweety, Gagan emerges from the water along with Chakravarthy and Nandu and kills everyone. He takes Sweety along with him, and Narayana feels that his pride/prestige has once again been damaged. Then, the Central Minister enrages both Narayana and Arjun on Gagan, so they both join hands with each other in eliminating Gagan once and for all.
In the attack, Chakravarthy and Pruthvi are seriously injured, and Narayana kidnaps Sweety. Gagan then lugs his injured brother and father to where Sweety is being kept and kills everyone but Narayana. Finally, Gagan says that Narayana lost his pride/prestige a long time ago when he joined hands with his enemy who killed his son just to kill a mere girl. As Narayana is listening to this, he shoots himself and dies. Chakravarthy decides to get Gagan married to Sweety and asks what name she would like on the wedding card. Sweety says "Janaki", and the film ends on a happy note.
